The CBETA Copy & Cite feature automatically includes the relevant source information when a user copies a short passage from a text. This allows the source and origin of the passage to be quickly identified.

Except for the Manji Shinsan Dainihon Zokuzōkyō, which differs slightly, the sources for the Taishō Tripiṭaka and other canons are recorded in the order of volume, text number, page, column, and line. For example:

Citation records for the Manji Shinsan Dainihon Zokuzōkyō cite the following three editions in parallel format:
